TransCanada Rakes In $1.3B in Earnings

TransCanada Corporation reported comparable earnings for fourth quarter 2012 of $318 million or $0.45 per share. For the year ended December 31, 2012, comparable earnings were $1.3 billion or $1.89 per share.
TransCanada's Board of Directors also declared a quarterly dividend of $0.46 per common share for the quarter ending March 31, 2013, equivalent to $1.84 per common share on an annualized basis, an increase of five per cent. This is the thirteenth consecutive year the Board of Directors has raised the dividend.
