Western Energy Sees new CEO, Chairman Appointed

Western Energy Services Corp. has announced that Dale E. Tremblay, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Western, will be retiring as Chairman, Director and CEO of the Company effective December 1, 2013.

Mr. Tremblay has held those positions since December 2009, when Mr. Tremblay led a recapitalization of Western and the subsequent strategic initiatives which resulted in Western becoming a significant Canadian-based oilfield contract drilling and well servicing company. Mr. Tremblay will continue to provide transitional assistance to the Company until May 31, 2014.

In addition, Mr. Murray Mullen will be retiring from the Board effective December 1, 2013. Mr. Mullen was one of the original directors of Western and was involved in the December 2009 recapitalization.
