CNR Pipeline Leak in Muskeg, Northern Alberta

The Alberta Energy Regulator reported that a Canadian Natural Resources pipeline leaked ~60,000 liters of crude oil in Northern Alberta, according to a report from Reuters.

The cause has been reported as a mechanical failure.  The leak occured near Red Earth Creek, around 350 kilometers north of Edmonton.

Inspectors have not yet reached the site due to safety and road conditions, and there is no report on wildlife or environmental impact.
