Diamondback Energy Ups 2016 Drilling Plans; Adds 15 More Wells

Diamondback Energy, Inc. like most of its pairs are increasing its development plans on the backs of the its most recent entry into the delaware basin.  The company now plans to complete between 60-75 (gross, horizontal wells) in 2016 vs its prior guidance of 30-75 wells.  The company is also uping its production guidance as a result of this new drilling and completion activity.  The new 2016 production guidance to a range of 38.0 to 40.0 Mboe/d, up from 34.0 to 38.0 Mboe/d

Q2 2016 Key Points.

- Diamondback is currently operating four horizontal rigs and running two completion crews to work through its current inventory of approximately 20 drilled but uncompleted wells (DUCs).
