EOG Touts Monster Wells ~9,000 BOEPD in the Delaware Basin; Ups Rig Count

EOG has reported its Q1 2017 results and highlights from its release / conference call include:

Strong Results at Whirling Winds Prospect

Average IP30: 3,510 BOPD Lateral Length: 7,100 feet

Strongest results from Whirling Wind 11 Fed Com #704H:

IP24: 8,990 BOEPD IP30: 6,230 BOEPD

More Rigs: EOG is deploying more rigs than initially planned in 2017, running 26 rigs instead of its previous plan of 23.

Reduced Well Costs: Q1 2017 average completed well costs were 6 percent lower than full year 2016 averages in the Eagle Ford, Delaware Basin and Bakken using normalized lateral lengths.
