Marathon provided the following guidance for Q4 - 2016 and what will be Q1-2017. The company is currently focused on drilling and completion in Karnes, Live Oak and McMullen counties. The company currently has 4 rigs running in Karnes county. Production for the quarter was 97Mboe/d vs 128Mboe/d in the prior year quarter.
Rig Activity : The Company expects to increase activity from four (4) to six (6) rigs in the fourth quarter.
Production : In third quarter 2016, Marathon Oil's production in the Eagle Ford averaged 97,000 net boed, compared to 109,000 net boed in the prior quarter and 128,000 net boed in the year-ago quarter.
