So far in 2016, 8 major drillers in the Montney Shale have announced expanded drilling programs for 2017.
Among these companies, drilling activity will grow by 52% in 2017 compared to 2016 - 556 wells drilled in 2017, compared to 366 wells drilled in 2016.
For 2016, these 8 companies represent around 40% of the drilling activity in the Montney.
Combined total capex will be $3.6 Billion for 2017.
