Exxon, Total Approved for Offshore Crete Exploration
ExxonMobil and Total SA have been given approval by Greece to explore for hyrocarbons offshore Crete, according to a report by Reuters.
Exxon and Total will be working in conjunction with Hellenic Petroleum on the project. The companies estimate it will take approximately two to four years to complete exploration activities.
This will be the first approval given by the Mediterranean country for E&P activities.
