Forest Reducing Eagle Ford Drilling After Poor Well Results

Forest Oil Corp. has detailed its fourth quarter and year-end 2013 Eagle Ford Shale and Ark-La-Tex operations and results.

As most you might remember, Forest signed an operational JV deal with Schlumberger with the intent on improving efficiency. Shale Experts has followed this carefully and from the most recent results, Forest Oil's wells have yet to see any material improvement.

Eagle Ford Shale

Forest's drilling and completion activity during 2013 was primarily focused on lease expirations in advance of transitioning to the development phase of the Eagle Ford program. The Company plans to hold through production a total of 49,000 gross (24,500 net) acres within Gonzales County, Texas.
