Halcon to Resume Eagle Ford Drilling; Outlines 2017 Drilling Program

Halcón Resources announced its plans to recommence drilling in its El Halcón area of the East Texas Eagle Ford in early 2017.  The Company also provided an update on fourth quarter 2016 production in addition to preliminary production and capex guidance for 2017.

2017 Plans

Expects to spend approximately $200 MM on drilling and completion costs (comparable to its 2016 budget of $180-210 MM). Production guidance of 39,000 to 41,000 boe/d (78% oil, 12% gas and 10% NGL).  One Bakken rig running (will add second in Q2 2017) Drill 5 Eagle Ford Wells in 1H17 Drill 5 Well Pad in Williams County (Bakken)
