Halliburton Cuts Workforce at Rockies Office

Service giant Halliburton has cut its workforce in Colorado / the Rockies as the completions slowdown continues to plague the industry, according to a report by The Daily Sentinel.

Appoximately 178 workers have been cut from its Grand Junction, CO offices. Company spokesperson Emily Mir said the cuts were "due to local market conditions." A letter from Halliburton noted that the cuts would be permanent.

The company did note that it still plans to maintain a presence in the area despite the reduction in staff. The vast majority of the terminated positions were directly related to completion operations.

These reductions are in addition to its cuts that occurred in July 2019, where it reduced its North American workforce by 8%.
