Parsley Energy will lay off most of its Austin, Texas workforce as part of its sale to Pioneer Natural Resources, according to a notice to the Texas Workforce Commission posted on Friday.
Pioneer has agreed to acquire Parsley Energy for $7.5 billion (including debt).
The Parsley layoffs will affect 234 workers. The layoff data is expected to be available on February 8, 2021.
