Hess to Ramp Up Bakken Ops in 2017; Capex Up 18% YOY at $2.25B

Hess detailed its preliminary 2017 guidance as well as its estimated Q4 2016 results.

2017 Guidance: E&P capital and exploratory expenditures are expected to be $2.25 billion, up +18% from $1.9 billion in 2016 Oil and gas production excluding Libya is forecast to be in the range of 300,000 to 310,000 boepd compared to full year 2016 net production of 321,000 boepd

Discussing 2017, John Hess commented: "We are increasing activity in the Bakken, our two offshore developments at North Malay Basin in the Gulf of Thailand and Stampede in the Gulf of Mexico are on track to come online in 2017 and 2018, and the Liza Field in Guyana is one of the industry's largest oil discoveries in the last 10 years."
