Forest Oil reported its third quarter Eagle Ford results.  We continue to track whether Schlumberger's HiWay frac is affecting well results or performance.

During the QA portion of the investor call, Patrick R. McDonald (CEO Forest Oil) was asked whether the growth in Eagle Ford 30-day IP rates of 420 bbls in 2012 to 529 in 2013 can be attributed to HiWay frac. Mr McDonald's response surprised us.

Patrick R. McDonald (CEO Forest Oil) said "There's a fair amount of contribution from both teams, both technical teams. It's hard to discern exactly where some of these ideas are coming from because the teams are integrated and working together. It's a little too early to see the actual results…
