Major Pipeline Co: Permian Takeaway Bottleneck Will Persist Into 2020

During the midstream panel at the 2018 Enercom Oil and Gas Conference, Jeremy Goebel, Plains All American's Sr. Group Vice President of Commercial, talked about the current takeaway constraints in the Permian Basin (see map below) and how that problem will likely persist into 2020.
Goebel noted: "Things are very tight in the Permian. We currently have [Permian takeaway] constraints between 3.5-3.6 million barrels per day [and] DUCs are increasing due to this problem. We expect to see completion cadence being muted through 2019 at least."
He went on to say that even though there are a number of new pipelines slated to come online in the near-term to provide relief, Goebel said that this will only partially solve the problem, as downstream facilities aren't yet prepared for the volumes…
