Newfield Unveils New MidCon SCORE Project; Eyes Deeper Formations

At the 2017 J.P. Morgan Energy Equity Conference, Newfield President and CEO, Lee Boothby, detailed the activity of the company’s 7-10 rigs in the SCOOP/STACK, and shed some light on the company’s new SCORE project: Sycamore, Canney, Osage Resource Expansion. The company discovered the formations among the Maremec formation.
The SCORE project will move the company deeper, to the Sycamore, Canney, Osage formations. The initial focus will be on Canney and Sycamore growth while Osage tests are run. Canney is shale, and Sycamore is limestone, making them two different geological horizons unseparated by formations.
