Newfield's Latest STACK Ops: Strong IP24 Lead to 'Better than Expected' Results

As part of Shale Experts' June update for the SCOOP/STACK plays, we took a look at Newfield's latest activity in the play.

The company's recent Anadarko Basin STACK ops have led to "better than expected" production in the early quarters of 2018.

Strong Well in the STACK

In early May 2018, Newfield's Sawyer and Lois wells had 24-hour gross initial rates of 2,483 BOEPD (54% oil) and 1,842 BOEPD (40% oil), respectively. As expected, due to the geographic location of these HBP wells, the production was weighted toward natural gas -- but results demonstrate the potential of this region. With the recent completion of these wells, Newfield's acreage position in this area is substantially all held by production."
