NuVista Reaffirms 2020 Plans; Spending+3%,  Wells Drilled Down -7%

NuVista Energy Ltd. has reported its 2020 capital plan as well as updated its operations at its Pipestone and Wapiti Montney play development.

2020 Plan

NuVista's 2020 plans are relatively similar to its 2019 activity, with spending up 3% at the midpoint YOY and drilling plans down 7%.

Production growth of 16% is expected YOY.

The company commented: "We expect the first quarter to be affected by the weather-related late start to winter drilling, required temporary shut-ins for offset fracture treatments on the new Pipestone and other wells, and third party downtime on a diminishing basis.   Production splits between the first and second quarter are difficult to define as they will be sensitive to on-stream dates of the 15 new wells that are planned to come on stream throughout March and…
