Pioneer's 3.0+ Design Outperforms with 40-70% Uplift: Eyes New, Old Zone Appraisals

Pioneer Natural Resources President & CEO Tim Dove recently presented at the JP Morgan Energy Conference.

Shale Experts has outlined the highlights from the presentation below.

Increased 2018 Budget - More Rigs, 3.0+ Completions

Pioneer has increased its 2018 budget from $2.9 billion up to ~$3.2 billion.

Dove noted that the increase is due to "additional Version 3.0+ completions, late-year rig additions and inflation."

Version 3.0+ Design Outperforms with 40-70% Uplift

Dove commented: "[We] continue to see strong results in 3.0+ wells - pumping more fluids and proppant - and [the 3.0+ design] continues to siginificantly outperform 3.0 wells - with a 40-70% uplift."
