Queensland Officials Award New Gas Exploration Licenses to Four Companies

Officials from the Australian province of Queensland have awarded new gas exploration licenses to several companies.

Armour Energy, Chi Oil & Gas, Cypress Petroleum and Bridgeport Energy were all given permits to explore for gas in the Surat and Bowen basins, as well as an area with significant potential in the Eromanga and Adavale basins (the areas up for exploration total ~4,100 square miles). See map below
