Range Resources Closes Midcontinent Office

Range Resources Corp. has closed its office in Oklahoma City, resulting in the loss of 100 jobs, according to a report by NewsOK.
The office, which was primarily devoted to Midcontinent exploration and engineering operations, closed its doors on Tuesday, February 17. According to Range COO Ray Walker, the company’s Fort Worth office will now handle Midcontinent operations, which primarily target the Mississippi Lime.
In addition to its Fort Worth headquarters, Range has retained offices in Tonkawa and Fairview, Oklahoma, as well as one in Pampa, Texas.
The company cited low commodity prices as the reason for the closure.
