Reports: Antero Prepping for Billion-Dollar IPO
Appalachia-focused Antero Resources is preparing to launch its initial public offering (IPO), which could potentially be valued near $10 billion dollars, according to a report by Reuters.
Antero, which is controlled by Warburg Pincus LLC, holds over 300,000 acres prospective for the Marcellus Shale play and approximately 92,000 acres in the Utica Shale play.
Unnamed people familiar close to the matter have hinted that the company could be listed on the stock market as early as this year.
According to the report, Antero has retained Barclays Plc, JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Citigroup Inc. to manage the offering.
