Halliburton, Baker Hughes and Schlumberger have been running their pumps 24 hours.
These will need to be replaced in 2 - 3 years. Proppant prices are also going up due to greater demand accrued from bigger wells, with 600 tons per job.
Several pressure pumpers gave details in their latest conference calls regarding plans for increasing horsepower capacity, despite an already oversupplied market.
