Service Giants Best 2Q Estimates; Dish on 2H Outlook

As 2Qs for the Service & Supply sector roll in, analysts are encouraged by better than expected results from giants including Halliburton and Schlumberger.

Halliburton

In addition to detailing its 2Q results, the company also noted expectations for the second half of 2015, which includes a prediction of increased refrac activity.

Jeff Miller, President, said: "We are pleased with our second quarter results, considering the headwinds facing the industry.

"Total company revenue of $5.9 billion declined 16% sequentially, outperforming a 26% drop in the worldwide rig count."

Halliburton outperformed many analyst's expectations in 2Q:
