Several Companies Slicing Eagle Ford Activity in 2014

The Eagle Ford Shale may not see as much activity in 2014 as it has in recent years, according to capital spending data gathered and analyzed by Shale Experts.

There seems to be a growing amount of operators that are planning to put Eagle Ford drilling activities on the chopping block.

Some notable operators on the list include:

Devon Energy annouced the acqusition of GeoSouthern and confirmed it plans to spend $1.3 billion in 2014 further developing the Eagle Ford asset.

Goodrich Petroleum who, earlier this year, re-allocated most of it's 2014 capital drilling to the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale.

Cabot Oil & Gas spent a little more than $307 million on 2013, plans to reduce its spending in the Eagle Ford to $184 million in 2014.
