It's that time again, where give you our thoughts based on analysis of what we expect from the frac market/activity this year.
As most of you know, we have been doing these forecast since 2012, with us only being wrong twice. Our methodology is not some secret sauce.
We have surveyed our E&P clients that are either private or private equity backed. We analyzed the budgets for the public E&Ps and include M&A/A&D.
M&A Impact
First let's talk about the impact of M&A / A&D on frac activity. Well we know from looking at the data that after an acqusition has been completed, the acquiring with twelve (12) months, typically reduce activity of the acquired company by 40%-60%.
