Shell, Anadarko Continuing Permian Partnership After Tense Year

Shell and Anadarko have seemingly 'reconciled' in the Permian Basin after numerous disagreements related to spending /operations in the region during the past year, according to reports.
According to a report by the Houston Chronicle, Anadarko did say that it wanted 'more control' over the joint venture (which spans ~590,000 gross acres), creating tension with Shell.
The duo's JV deal in the region expired in July 2017, but the agreement was continued despite Shell's concerns that Anadarko was rushing to drill more wells (quantity over quality)
