Southwestern Touts Record Laterals in Q3, Cuts Well Costs; Rigs, Frac Crews, 2019

Southwestern Energy reported its Q3 2018 results.

Drilled Longest Laterals in Company History; Planning More One is Pennsylvania was 16,272 feet The other was in West Virginia and set a new state record of 15,559 feet.

Both of these wells were on time and on budget.

In the Q3 conference call, this question was posted about the longer laterals:

Arun Jayaram from JP Morgan asked: "Bill, I was wondering if you could walk though kind of the benefits of shifting towards the longer laterals. You talked about drilling 15,000-foot and a 16,000-foot lateral. Are you seeing any optimal lateral lengths which are optimizing returns?
