Tourmaline Boosts 2017 Capex Up 46% YOY; Wells Plan To Drill

Tourmaline has approved a 2017 EP capital budget of $1.35 billion pro forma the Shell Canada transaction (this will increase the company's Montney / Deep Basin portfolio by 209,920 net acres).

The plan includes the drilling of 300 wells (gross), completion of the Doe BC 2-11 gas plant, completion of the Spirit River 3-10 gas plant expansion, compressor expansion at the Wild River 14-20 gas plant and construction of the new Sundown pipeline lateral. Approximately 45 of the 300 planned wells in 2017 will be on the Shell Canada assets.

Pro forma the Shell Canada transaction, Tourmaline is expecting average production between 250,000 and 260,000 boepd in 2017, representing year-over-year growth of over 30%. The Company is expecting a further 20-25% growth in production in 2018.
