TransCanada Planning $13B in Projects; Ups Earnings

TransCanada Corporation reported comparable earnings for second quarter 2013 of $357 million or $0.51 per share, compared to $300 million or $0.43 per share for the same period in 2012.

Net income attributable to common shares for second quarter 2013 was $365 million or $0.52 per share. TransCanada's Board of Directors also declared a quarterly dividend of $0.46 per common share for the quarter ending September 30, 2013, equivalent to $1.84 per common share on an annualized basis.
