This week we have two transactions. More deals here
7/ 20/ 2020 : Chevon said it will acquire Noble Energy for $5 billion plus $7 billion in debt. This transaction, we believe will have negative ramification for the DJ Basin, also we expect to see reduced activity on Noble's permian acreage. The table below shows Noble's drilling activity over the last year. The company started the year with 5 rigs, 3 in DJ and 2 in Permian. The company quickly reduced its rig count to 1 rig, in the DJ Basin. We believe next year ('21) after the closing of the transactions, we expect to see no more than 1-2 rigs in DJ and 1-2 rigs in DJ Basin.
