Amidst Bottleneck, Plains All American Puts Permian Pipelines into Service Early

In an effort to combat the well-known takeaway issue in the Permian Basin, Plains All American Pipeline announced that it will be putting its new pipeline projects in the region online early.

They announced this development in their Q3 conference call.

One project (the Sunrise Expansion) has already been partially put into service.

PAA CEO Willie CW Chiang commented: "For the fourth quarter, we expect a meaningful uplift in Permian tariff volumes, supported by the early placement into service of our Sunrise expansion project, as well as a continuation of Permian production growth and multiple bottlenecking expansion projects."
