BHP Onshore Production Declines -15% to 7 MMBOE; Ramps Up Rig Count

BHP reported an operational update for the quarter. Highlights include:

Decline in Production: September 2017 quarter declined -9% to 22 MMboe.

Conventional liquids volumes decreased by 5% to 15 MMboe Onshore US liquids volumes decreased by 15% to 7 MMboe Rig Count Increase

BHP's operated rig count increased from five to nine during the quarter as two rigs in the Permian, and one in each of the Black Hawk and Haynesville, were added.

The Wildling-2 well was spud on 15 April 2017 and drilling was completed on 11 August 2017. The Wildling-2 well encountered oil in multiple horizons.
