C&J Revenue Falls, Cites Oversupply Frac Market

C&J Energy Services, Inc. today reported net income of $25.1 million, or $0.46 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2013. Net income was $30.4 million, or $0.56 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter of 2012 and $49.4 million, or $0.92 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2012.

Total revenue for the first quarter of 2013 was $276.1 million, a decrease of 4% compared to $286.3 million for the fourth quarter of 2012 and an increase of 15% compared to $239.1 million for the first quarter of 2012.

Adjusted EBITDA for the first quarter of 2013 was $57.3 million, compared to $70.9 million for the fourth quarter of 2012 and $84.1 million for the first quarter of 2012. The declines in revenue and Adjusted EBITDA from the fourth quarter of 2012 were primarily due to lower hydraulic…
