Private Equity Ready to Add Frac Capacity in Sold Out Market

With the rapid increase in drilling and completely activity by E&Ps, many service providers are struggling to keep up with the demand for frac fleets and pressure pumping services. As a result, private equity firms are looking to jump in to the hot frac market.

In their Q1 calls, Halliburton and ProPetro commented on the tight market, which is largely completely sold out in terms of near-term frac availability. They also noted that demand will most likely remain very strong over the next few years.
