Concho Switches to Manufacturing Mode in Permian: Analysis of Completion Design, Well Results

After years of derisking and honing its completion design, Concho is ramping up its Permian development to "manufacturing mode", according to exec Jack Harper in the company's Q1 2017 conference call.

$1.44-1.62 billion D&C Capital (90% of total)

Northern Delaware: $576-648 million Southern Delaware: $288-324 million Midland: $432-486 million Remainder is NM Shelf

On all of its Permian wells (both Delaware and Midland), Concho utilizes a slickwater frac design.

Shale Experts Research Group has looked at Concho's completions in the Midland and Delaware Basins and analyzed whether increased proppant and longer laterals impact productivity.
