Eagle Ford Q1 2014 Activity Update

Even though it seems the Permian is the talk of the town, the Eagle Ford is still the busiest oil field in the US.  Operators plan to spend more than $24 billion in the play in 2014 (Shale Experts capital database).

Shale Experts continually tracks activity in all the plays worldwide and reports on daily and quarterly activities.  What we find interesting in the Eagle Ford is that there are more than 180 Companies with active permits. However, just 20 of these active companies drilled & completed more than 85% of the wells in Q1.
