Exclusive: Company to Spend $2B to Drill/Complete 250 Wells; Permian, Eagle Ford, Haynesville

After recently completing its $10.5 billion acquisition of BHP's Eagleford, Haynesville and Delaware Basin properties, BPX Energy (the lower 48 unit from BP) is wasting no time.  

The company is ramping up drilling across all assets.   

BPX recently said it plans to spend $2.0 billion to drill and complete 250 wells in 2019.   To achieve this, the company ramping up to 5 rigs in the Eagle Ford (up from 2), and the Haynesville will see 5 rigs as well.

In the Anardko Basin, the company is currently operating 1 rig, however the company does plan to divest that asset.

Total Capital Expenditures : $2 billion Rig Count : 16 operated Rigs Wells Planned/to be drilled : 250 Wells
