Exco Boosts Haynesville, Eagle Ford Economics; New Design

In its July 2015 investor presentation, EXCO Resources has improved the economics of its Haynesville/Bossier and Eagle Ford/Buda projects as it continues to hone its completion strategy.

Haynesville/Bossier

EXCO has cut drill times in East Texas from 59 to 42 days since 2010 and increased lateral lengths to 6,870 feet (up from 4,717 in 2010). 

Proppant levels have also been increased to 2,700 lbs/foot (compared to 800 lbs/foot in 2010).

The changes to EXCO's completion design have visibly improved well results across its Shelby project area.

The company plans to continue honing its completion design in the near-term to fuel continued well improvements. EXCO has set a target EUR of 1.75 Bcf per 1,000 lateral feet.
