Murphy Oil is currently in negotiations to potentially sell off its entire portfolio of Malaysian assets, according to a report by Reuters.
The talks were initiated by an unsolicited bid from an unknown entity. According to the report, Murphy's assets in the region could fetch as much as $3.0 billion.
The report noted that a deal could be reached before year-end.
