Drilling/Rig Activity as Q1 2019 Winds Down
US Drillers have dropped 55 rigs year-to-date.
This is about half of the total amount of rigs that Shale Experts estimates will be cut in 2019 (our rig forecast estimates ~100 total rigs will be lost in 2019).
- Permian (the most active onshore basin) is down - 25 rigs YTD
- STACK/SCOOP is down -14 rigs YTD
- Western Anadarko (Granite Wash) is down -4 rigs YTD
- Haynesville is down -2 rigs , YTD

- Roan Resources down -5 rigs
- Apache down -4 rigs
- Carrizo down -2 rigs
