Repsol to Cut 30% of Canadian Staff

Repsol is planning to cut a significant portion of its workforce in Canada, according to a report by Reuters.

These layoffs, which will affect ~30% of employees, are concentrated in the company's offices in Calgary, Chauvin and Edson. According to the report, Repsol has ~700 employees in Canada - so while a firm number of cuts wasn't given, we estimate it will affect around 200 workers.

The lack of sufficient pipeline infrastructure in Canada has put pressure on E&Ps active in the Canadian plays.
