Schlumberger's Kibsgaard: Productivity Gains Slowing in the Midland, Eagle Ford

Schlumberger CEO Paul Kibsgaard recently spoke at the Barclays CEO Energy-Power Conference.
He talked about how production headwinds have been overcome by using more proppant and drilling longer laterals in the Midland Basin and Eagle Ford.
However, Kibsgaard noted that these trends may be coming to an end as the percentage of child wells increases and productivity gains slow.
Kibsgaard commented: "[It] is already clear is that unit well performance, normalized for lateral length and pounds of proppant pumped, is dropping in the Eagle Ford as the percentage of child wells continues to increase.
