The Eagle Ford in 2015: Budgets & Hedges

As oil prices slip, spending is being cut by operators across many plays. However, a number of companies in the Eagle Ford Shale are devoting more capital to the play than in 2014. Out of the 11 featured companies below, only about half are posting budget reductions for 2015.

Apache Corp.

Apache plans to spend $800 million on Eagle Ford operations in 2015. In 2014, the company spent $500 million on Gulf Coast operations, which includes the Eagle Ford.

The company plans to complete 90 wells with 12 rigs running.

Marathon Oil

Currently, Marathon has not outlined how its $4.5 billion-dollar budget will be allocated in 2015.
