Vista Restarts Vaca Muerta Well Pads; Cuts Costs with New Well Design

In its Q2 presentation, Vista Oil & Gas updated its Vaca Muerta operations, including restarting shut-in wells as well as detailing its new well design.
Production RestartThe company resumed production at its Vaca Muerta well pads after shutting in output from mid-March to mid-May 2020.
Vista began reopening its wells on May 26, 2020. As of May 30, all shut-in wells have been returned to production.
New Well Design Saves CostsThe company's new well design, which features:
2,800 meter laterals (12% higher than its previous 2,500 meter laterals) 60 meter spacing (20% lower than its previous 75 meter spacing) 47 frac stages (a 38% increase from its previous 34 stages)These changes have increased its type curve in the play by 41%.
