WPX Energy Ups Capex +20% 2018; Touts 160% Jump in Delaware Oil Volumes YOY

WPX has reported its Q4 and year end 2017 results as well as its 2018 outlook.

2018 Plans

- 2018 Capex: $1.16-1.31 billion (up +20% from $1.03 billion spent in 2017)

D&C: $1.04-1.11 billion Other: $120-200 million

- 2018 Production: 117-126 Mboe/d (75-80 Mbbl/d of oil) - This is an increase of +11% from 109.8 MBOEPD at year-end 2017

Delaware Basin Highlights Oil Volumes Up 160% YOY: WPX’s fourth-quarter Delaware oil volumes of 31,200 bbl/d increased 37 percent vs. third-quarter 2017 and were 160 percent higher than a year ago. WPX had 24 first sales in the basin during the fourth quarter, marking its highest level in 2017. There were 18 completions in the Wolfcamp A interval; five X/Y wells and one D well.
