Baytex Ups 2019 Capex by 33%, But Will Spend Extra Funds to Pay Down Debt

Baytex Energy has revised its 2019 outlook given the recent improvement in commodity prices.

However, it is important to note that the extra $200 million added will be solely allocated to paying down the company's debt.

Revised 2019 Plans

- 2019 Capex: $800 million (up +33% from $600 million initially estimated) 

Debt Repayment: $200 million (this is where the extra funds are being allocated) Eagle Ford: $200 million Viking: $265 million Duvernay: $65 million

- Rigs: 8 rigs running / 3 frac crews

Eagle Ford: 3 rigs running / 1.5 frac crews Viking: 5 rigs running / 1.5 frac crews

- Well Plans: 279 net wells planned

Eagle Ford: TIL 30 net wells
Viking: Drill 245 net wells Duvernay: Drill 4 appraisal wells
