Chesapeake Chops Budget -12% for 2018; Expects Mere +3% Production Growth

Chesapeake reported its 2018 plans as well as its Q4 2017 results.

2018 Plans

- 2018 Capex: $1.975 - $2.375 billion (down -12% compared to 2017 levels)

- 2018 Production: ~564,200 BOEPD* (up +3% compared to 547,800 BOEPD at year-end 2017)

Total 2018 production, adjusted for asset sales, expected to grow approximately 3% YOY, using midpoint; oil volumes adjusted for asset sales, expected to grow by approximately 5%compared to 2017 levels, using midpoint
