Continental Touts 'Exceptional' Meramec Wells; Tweaks SCOOP Completion Design

During the Scotia Howard Weil Conference on March 23, Continental Resources outlined its latest developments in the MidContinent including enhancing SCOOP completions as well as 'exceptional' Meramec well results.

SCOOP - Enhanced Completions Ramps Proppant Levels

Continental recently adjusted its completion design in the SCOOP and is seeing stronger production rates as a result. The primary adjustment to its design was adding ~50% more proppant per foot (the company is currently drilling 7,500' laterals).

The enhanced completion design has been used on 15 Continental wells thus far. The company reported increased condensate EURs of 2,000 MBOE (up 15%).
