Activity has been steadily increasing in the Haynesville and Shale Experts decided to take a closer look at the activity in the play.
Instead of focusing on the IP-24 rates, we looked at the 6 month cumulative oil production from the top gas producing operators in the Haynesville (LA). Chesapeake is leading the way with 2,934 MMcf cumulative production in six months with Indigo and Comstock not too far behind.
Rig Activity in the Haynesville/Cotton Valley
In 2017, rigs have been concentrated in De Soto County, Caddo County, and Red River County, all in Louisiana.
Within the counties with the most rigs, a few operators are running four or more, including Indigo Resources, Vine Oil & Gas, and and BP.
